in light of the issues with that other agency, I assume that it is NOT good to book with that one?? I have a friend who wanted to book (I am already booked), well two friends, and I wanted to know what IS the legit site for booking this particular cruise? The original one the was posted on our meet up group apparently does not work right. Thanks for help with this! Cause I dont want them to wind up being scammed or whatever.

I've taken the forum on the Gothcruise website down as it has become overrun by spammers and is seeing very little use by actual cruisers.  For communication this community and the Yahoo! group should be sufficient.  The latest "official" news is always posted both places.

First, I just want to make sure I'm straight on this...
We leave on Sunday (the 21st) at 5pm right?
When can we start coming aboard?
We arrive back in New York (Cape Liberty) on Friday (the 26th) right?
Anyone know what time?
Need to know so I know whether or not to arrange a early or late check-in or check-out of the hotel I'll be staying at Sat Night (20th) and Fri Night (26th).

Also, anyone know a semi-decent affordable hotel near Cape Liberty? The closer to where the cruise departs, the happier I will be. I'd prefer something under $70 a night, but will take under $100....I'm not afraid of Motel 6s if I have to, but would prefer something similar to a Day's Inn or Holiday Inn...

ok, one last question...I'll hopefully be staying another week in New York to play tourist.
I'd love some recommendations for nice hotels under the $250 a night mark.

And WTF is up with hotels offering rooms with shared bathrooms/showers? Seriously?
I love most things antique, but that is pushing it...

A friend of mine tells me that the "Gothic Cruise" has started advertising with Gothic Beauty, so we may start to see more queries here.

Thankfully I was able to warn them in time. But I feel bad for the people who are going to get shafted this time around. If anyone thinks they're going to be attending a VNV concert on a cruise ship come October, they really need to do some research first. There has never been and there never will be a "Gothic Cruise". Gothcruise.com is the only legitimate and established event, with photographic proof that it's been happening for the past 3 years.

Ask questions. Ask questions here, plenty of people will tell you the deal. For example, this well established event gathers an attendance between 100-200 people, yes? For a cruise line to give up their main concert hall AND comp a band, what percentage of the ship would you have to book 'sil? The numbers just don't add up.
