For those who haven't heard, the funding for Goth Cruise : The film has come through and the crew will be on board. I've posted an introduction from the director below. They will be at the Meet and Greet our first day and those who do not wish to be filmed should let the crew know by then (if not earlier).
I had a chance to meet Jeanie personally in May and I'm excited to see how this thing turns out. We have a chance to make a positive statement about our scene as a subculture and perhaps to change the image some people have in their heads about what being 'goth' is all about.
Now, from Jeanie herself:

Goth Cruise - the Film
Goth Cruise is a 90 minute 'gothumentary' directed by Jeanie Finlay, produced by Tigerlily films in association with Cactus 3 for IFC and EMMedia.
It follows Goth Cruise 4 as the 'Explorer of the Seas' sails from New Jersey to Bermuda with 150 'people in black' on board. The film is about the cruise and the enduring allure of Goth culture both in the UK and USA. Trips to Whitby Goth Weekend and Convergence as well as interviews with key goth figures including Voltaire, set the scene.

Hello, if I haven't already met you as part of the pilot we filmed in May.
I'm Jeanie the director and will be on board ship along with a small British crew of 5. We will be spending time with a few of the people that we met in May and filming at group events. We will all be there at the meet and greet on board ship so please do come over and say hello and ask us any questions.
If for any reason you do not want to be in the film please come and see us then and we will take your polaroid so we can make sure you are not captured on film.
I'm really looking forward to meeting you all, we had a lot of fun at Convergence, in Tampa, Charlotte and Whitby and am sure the cruise will be as good if not better.
You can see the stills from the pilot here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeaniequeenie/sets/72157600163379844/
see you soon and all the best
