Having just completed a cruise on another Vision class ship (Enchantment), I'd thought I'd share my experiences with RCCL's new "non-smoking" policy for 2008. There is basically no change. Almost all the bars have ashtrays and are smokey. The bar that is non-smoking was deserted. The Viking Crown Lounge (aka the disco) is quite smokey all over, although you can only smoke on the starboard side. This applies to outdoor decks as well. So, good news if you're a smoker, bad news if you can't stand the smoke.

Enchantment was a nice ship, stretched longer than the GC5 ship, Splendour. Most of the stuff was in the same place as Explorer, just much smaller. Enchantment was recently refurbished, Splendour appears to not have been refurb'd yet according to the website. The adult-only Solarium was nice, with 2 hot tubs and a pool, just like Explorer.

I'm still considering GC5. With the deadline extended, I have a little more time to come up with the dough...
