Checked Luggage Charges

Airlines like American and Alaska have started charging to check bags on their flights. Alaska is charging for the 2nd bag, whereas American is charging $15 for the first bag and then $25 for a second bag.

I hadn't seen this mentioned here yet, so I figured I'd make a post. I plan ahead what I'm going to pack when I take long trips, and this is making me rethink what I'm going to bring with me.
