Was watching a special on Santorini over the weekend and was quite piqued by the ruins at Akrotiri. Unfortunately the special was filmed before the roof collapsed and killed someone, so they didn't mention it's closed indefinitely now. @%#$. So what to do on Santorini? I'd take a donkey up to the volcano top, but I hear they are cruel to them. I don't think I'm in shape enough to do the hike myself, I hear it's rough. We won't be in town long enough to see the sunset at Oia. The official cruise offerings are sparse and uninteresting. Thoughts?
